Similar to conventional doctors, naturopathic doctors utilize laboratory tests to guide our diagnoses and treatment plans. Routine lab work may encompass a range of tests, including hematology, glucose regulation, B12, ferritin, vitamin D, thyroid, liver, and kidney function assessments, as well as certain inflammation markers. Depending on your specific condition, additional lab tests may be necessary. Please be aware that lab requisitions provided by naturopathic doctors are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and must be paid for out of pocket or through extended insurance coverage.
